Keeping domain contact details up to date
More recently they have begun getting registrars to suspend domains if the Whois information, and the domain Admin contact email in particular is not kept up to date. If they try and verify the admin contact email and don’t get a response after a few days, the domain will be suspended and all sites and mailboxes on the domain will cease to function.
If this happens to you, on a domain you have registered through Nimbus, you will need to login to your client area, then go to Domains -> My Domains, then click the down arrow next to the spanner on the domain and click ‘Edit Contact Information’. You’ll then be able to amend the contact information to the domain. Once this is done, you will receive a new verification email to the email address you put on the domain which will have a link in it to verify you own it. At this point, if your domain has been suspended, it will usually be unsuspended and active again in an hour or so.
It’s very important that you also keep your client information with Nimbus fully up to date as we’ll also attempt to contact you via the main account email if there is a suspension on any of your domains. You can do that in the details section of your client area.
