We’re nearly there people! The halls are decked, the fridge is full and the advent calendar’s almost empty. Yup, we’re days away from peak Christmas, and it’s going to be a cracker.
So, before you grab a well-earned break, we just wanted to take a moment to say thanks for making our year. We mean it. This one’s been our best yet and we couldn’t have done it without the amazing support of all of you.
Bigger, better (and hairier)
This year we’ve taken on ten new Nim-bods (👋 Olly, Ross, Carla, John, Sam, Mikey, Chris and Jamie) and welcomed two new apprentices (hey Harry & Chelsey!).
Smashing it, and smashing it some more
We’re super chuffed that 2019 saw STORM overtake cPanel and Plesk to become the biggest platform we offer – with more of you choosing our home-grown, made-for-creatives hosting platform than either of the big names. An amazing 5,906 new websites came on board this year, and you notched up 42,080 user sessions, more than doubling the 2018 total.
STORM’s not just our baby, it’s a smart, nippy piece of tech that’s making all the difference to designers, developers and agencies across the UK. And it’s just one reason we had our best month as a business. Ever. Twice. We’re proud as punch.
We scored another 42 five-star Google reviews and totally smashed our target for the year (thanks to you!), so we went to Oktoberfest to celebrate 🍻
Paint, blog posts and ping pong paddles
And even with all that going on, we still found time to launch our new website, bring in a new support system, give our office a massive makeover and really zero in on our company culture. New vision and values? Tick.
We also launched our Shaping STORM community and started a real-life table tennis phenomenon. We’re unbeaten on home turf – so if you fancy a challenge, come on over and grab a paddle!
