What web server does STORM use?

STORM uses a combination of Apache and NGINX to display each web site. As NGINX is built for performance we serve all static files like Javascript, CSS and images are served directly from NGINX. Any requests for PHP and HTML pages go directly through to Apache. For performance any PHP requests are served from PHP-PFM.

As NGINX does not support .htaccess any static files by pass any redirect or rewrite rules you may have configured. If you would prefer that all requests go to Apache it is possible to bypass NGINX on a per site basis by following these instructions.

NGINX      Apache
