Last Thursday, Nimbus were proud to, once again, sponsor the Essex Digital Awards 2018 for the third year in a row. Always a fantastic night that serves to celebrate the range of talent in the Essex digital community, this year’s (its fifth) didn’t disappoint. At the stunning Hylands House, which is a must-see for anyone who happens to be in the Chelmsford area, and with some pretty decent grub as well as plenty of bearded folk, and a number of fantastic hair styles; it was unsurprisingly a night to remember.
Expertly led by compare Robin Bailey, some truly fantastic companies were, quite rightly, celebrated for building and designing outrageously stunning websites and marketing material. A total of 36 awards were handed out with a special shout out to Chilligraphics, a design agency based in Coggeshall who managed to nab two Gold awards,including Best Website: Marketing & Creative, as well as our very own category Best Website: Small Business. At Nimbus we were particularly impressed by their use of colour, imagery and fonts that cleverly blended to create intelligent, interactive and user-friendly websites. Of course, we can’t forget Happy Little Bundles as well as The Bra Closet, who won Silver and Bronze respectably in our category.
Unsurprisingly, The Bra Closet received some well-deserved applause for their win although we were, once again, astounded by the standard of the entrants which seems to get better and better each and every year. A special shout out must go out to Shaken Udder by MediaVita for winning the flagship prize for Best Website; as well as to our co-sponsors Essex Chamber of Commerce, Freelance SEO Essex, Superfast Essex, The Millenials Coach, Essex County Council Apprenticeship Promotion & Brokerage Hub, Barclays and Heart Essex.
We have already put 2019 in our dairies which according to Iain Johnson, Director “will have some major changes to the scheme.” So another huge congratulations to the winners and runners-up and we look forward to seeing you all next year.
